Summary: We had first bought this refrigerator in July. First time, the doors were installed incorrectly and were rubbing against one another. We had that repaired then the water dispenser/ice maker stopped working. It had to be serviced on 4 occasions and still didn't work!! Sears offered to replace the fridge so we went with the same model thinking (hoping) it was just a dud. We do love the space inside that it offers. The new fridge was delivered April 20th.
Summary: I've had this fridge for about 18 months now. I bought it because of the name brand and it fit my height restriction. (no hinges on top) It works fine. The ice maker in the door does make more noise from the falling cubes but you get used to it. "It's not a burglar, it's just the ice-maker" I didn't expect that Whirlpool would make me spend $66/year on water filters!
Summary: This is a nice refrigerator so far. It has the look of stainless steel without the price. I love that the ice maker is in the door so it doesn't take up a lot of room, but it does make it a little louder. Overall it's a good buy.
Summary: Our old refrigerator broke down just before Christmas. We had to scramble to purchase. My wife really wanted a side by side since it is easier to keep items organized. I really like the ice dispenser is built into the door instead of the top shelf of the freezer. That design gives us much more room.
Summary: After one year and six months plastic shell is cracking. Totally unacceptable for an long term appliance. The in-door ice maker is nice but we always are running out of ice. The fast ice option is a joke.... I thought the water dispensing feature was cool but again no where accurate, try again system engineers. Poor Poor engineering and material design!!!!
