Summary: In October of 2012 we purchased a new Kitchenaid refrigerator from Famous Tate Appliances in Brandon FL. The product selection was based on what was perceived at the time to be of the highest quality available and was purchased for the sole purpose of hoping to avoid any issues with reliability and future service should it ever be required. We had always been led to believe that Kitchenaid was the premium brand of the Whirlpool manufactured line of major appliances.
Summary: I bought all new Kitchenaid appliances 6 months ago and this fridge cost over 3,500 dollars and hasn't even lasted 1 year. This is with 1 adult only using it First water puddled under the fridge and wouldn't stop flooding the kitchen, then repair guy came after waiting 2 days for him to get here. I was told by appliance direct that they only have 2 men that service the entire central region of florida. Rediculous!
Summary: Do not buy this product unless you are willing to gamble over $2000. First one died within months. Second one less than one month. Third one in a little over one year. All of them dripped water from ice maker and I was told I was crazy because nothing was wrong with fridge. Flash forward to the third one and finally a service update was issued to fix this problem, but it failed anyway.
Summary: Worst frig I've ever owned, have had 3 repairs, 6 visits from repairman! And it's still not cooling properly and the fan is getting loud again! Will be calling for more repairs ... Stay clear, lemon!
Summary: Refrigerator is extremely noisy. We can hear it at night across the entire house. Just ordered the replacement filters at a cost of $70, which it will cost every 6 months. There may be cheaper options for the filters but I've not yet found them. There haven't been any problems, other than the noise. There are things that are annoying. The doors are difficult to close as opposed to most refrigerators that make it hard to not close them.
failed after 8 months. need replacement. 2 weeks no fridge and still waiting

Summary: junk. don't buy Kitchenaid (or Maytag or whirlpool). we purchased complete Kitchenaid set in Sept 2013. it's may 2014 and refrigerator is 'not repairable'. 2 weeks down and still waiting for replacement. Their customer support division (800-422-1230) is a black hole. lost food is not covered in limited warranty of course. the dishwasher leaked from day one. they replaced sealed motor. Its just a matter of time before the rest of these throw away products fail.
Summary: We purchased this model refrigerator in December 2012. There are a lot of great aspects of this refrigerator (space, lighting, ice and water) that we have enjoyed, however, I would not recommend this product. We began having issues with the cooling system the end of April 2014. The food in the freezer seemed a little "soft" and I thought perhaps that someone in the family had not closed the freezer drawer properly.
Summary: Bought and ran awesomely for 5 months. Almost silent bar a few minor/light fan noises every few hours. In the last week it started to to ice-up at the back left, and getting noisier and noisier. Service Tech came out, fitted a kit with a better defroster for for the ice cube compartment. Didn't fix the problem.
Summary: This should be an excellent fridge! It looks great and is cavernous inside. I appreciate the dual ice and water paddles as it seems many are getting away from this. I like the ability to measure water accurately for making baby formula and filling the coffee maker. However, this fridge has been very unpleasant to live with. It has several different fans and functions which means it makes noises constantly!
Summary: I bought this refrigerator in April of 2013. In March, we had it serviced under manufacturer warranty b/c the ice maker created condensation at the seal between the ice maker housing and the left hand door, resulting in water dripping down the inside of the door. It also accumulated a block of ice under the housing at the back left of the refrigerator section, dripping water down the back side of the refrigerator.
