Summary: The narrower measurements of our kitchen doorways forced us to look at non-standard sized refrigerators. We decided on the Architect series, seeing that the specs met our restrictions and relying on the well-known KitchenAid name behind it. The first 18 months were fine, but having just passed the two year mark, we find ourselves having had to defrost this fridge 4 times in the past 6 months.
Summary: bought this fridge for the looks, the shelf that hlds the crispers has cracked twice since the materials (plastic) very cheap! The fridge was changed twice sincc it is noisy when defrosting or when it goes ON cracking noises plastics expanding Very Disappointed !
Summary: I purchased this because I have a wall on the left side and limited space-36 inches. Plently of room for the door to swing with the handle. Very convienent, good inside space, and best of all, it looks good. Good price nice appliance.
Summary: I love my new KitchenAid Architect II series stainless steel fridge. Contrary to the description I found online, it does indeed have slide out shelves, which I like. I took out one of the shelves to better accomodate the things I store in my fridge, but better to have too many shelves than too few! Having a freezer on the bottom and thus the fridge up top has been great for me since the part of the fridge I use the very most is the crisper drawers.
Summary: I searched for a while for a fridge and settled on this one. It's roomy, very quiet, and we LOVE that the water dispenser is inside the fridge and so discreet. Beauty and function in one! Odd that the surface doesn't take magnets. Threw me off a bit, but looks better without them anyway. For what it's worth, I also am VERY pleased with AJ Madison's service.
