Summary: shopped around and did some research and this model fit my need as far as the measurements to fit into my space where I needed it to go. I wanted a water dispenser to get a glass of cold water from and this had that feature as well as the ice maker. I like the french doors and pull out freezer drawer. It was noisy when compressor was running, but I figured it out that it was not properly leveled and once I re positioned the level of it, the noise went away.
Summary: We bought this fridge, as a result of owning a Maytag of the same design! NOT the same! The shelves do not slide out...important if you're petite, AND the door gaskets on the Kitchen-Aide were Gone within 12 months of use. We had the gaskets replaced( one year warranty) at our expense. Kitshen-Aid does not have a "reimbersment program" for repairs that have been done . Come on. when you invest in a fridge, you expect not to to invest in repairs in one year. A LEMON!!!!
Summary: We have a relatively small kitchen and this model fits with about 5" of horizontal space to spare in the small nook that it fits into, while the french doors make access easier. Despite it's relatively compact dimensions, it's quite capacious. My wife and I have never filled the fridge area more than half way. One feature that was important to us is the integrated water filter for the ice maker and interior filtered water dispenser.
Summary: After 6 months of price, product and review shopping - the best decision was purchasing an appliance through Lowes - their customer service, delivery crews and appliance sales team in Macedonia & Wadsworth, Ohio - were the best!! Our new Kitchen Aide French Door Stainless Steel refrigerator fits into our 30 year od remodeled kitchen beautifully.
Summary: We've had our refrigerator for 1.5 years. I like the french doors and pull out tray for convenience. It fits a lot of food for a small refrigerator. I like the pull out freezer too. My complaint though is that at 1.5 years, we've already had a problem where we started to get water leaking into the freezer area. Of course this is after the 1 year warranty. We had to pay a repair person $125 to come out and spend 10 minutes clipping a factory problem tube.
Summary: This Kitchenaid model is so impressive that when it was installed in our kitchen, I jumped around it like the homonids facing the Monolith in the film "2001." Seriously. It's quiet, elegant, and the interior is *very* well-designed with easily adjustable shelving and removable door shelves. It's deceptively spacious and readily accommodates the needs of a family of three. Also, kudos to Lowe's delivery service!
