Happy with purchase

Karboviak, reviews.lowes.com

  • Summary: shopped around and did some research and this model fit my need as far as the measurements to fit into my space where I needed it to go. I wanted a water dispenser to get a glass of cold water from and this had that feature as well as the ice maker. I like the french doors and pull out freezer drawer. It was noisy when compressor was running, but I figured it out that it was not properly leveled and once I re positioned the level of it, the noise went away.

Internal water and ice - an interesting idea in a French door configuration

mrspink, epinions.com
24 January 2012
  • Summary: I have a love/hate relationship with this refrigerator. It performs incredibly well in many areas and overall is a great idea but needs design improvements to the internal water dispenser
  • Pros: Very quiet and excellent fridge and freezer performance with full adjustability. Excellent onboard water filter
  • Cons: Poor ergonomics of the internal water dispenser. It is a yoga like experience to operate.

Better fridges of this style out there!

Carol, reviews.lowes.com
22 January 2012
  • Summary: We bought this fridge, as a result of owning a Maytag of the same design! NOT the same! The shelves do not slide out...important if you're petite, AND the door gaskets on the Kitchen-Aide were Gone within 12 months of use. We had the gaskets replaced( one year warranty) at our expense. Kitshen-Aid does not have a "reimbersment program" for repairs that have been done . Come on. when you invest in a fridge, you expect not to to invest in repairs in one year. A LEMON!!!!
  • Cons: Not durable, poor design, poor warranty

Quiet, Efficient, Attractive

Nick Hsieh, Amazon
30 November 2011
  • Summary: We have a relatively small kitchen and this model fits with about 5" of horizontal space to spare in the small nook that it fits into, while the french doors make access easier. Despite it's relatively compact dimensions, it's quite capacious. My wife and I have never filled the fridge area more than half way. One feature that was important to us is the integrated water filter for the ice maker and interior filtered water dispenser.

Just not like they used to be

MD Marie "fluteplayer", Amazon
19 November 2011
  • Summary: We've had our refrigerator for 1.5 years. I like the french doors and pull out tray for convenience. It fits a lot of food for a small refrigerator. I like the pull out freezer too. My complaint though is that at 1.5 years, we've already had a problem where we started to get water leaking into the freezer area. Of course this is after the 1 year warranty. We had to pay a repair person $125 to come out and spend 10 minutes clipping a factory problem tube.

  • Summary: "Great appliance. Rock-solid feel, quiet compressor. Very efficient use of space. With the french doors, you lose some rack spaced from the door, but it is made up for in the convenience.

Great Refrigerator!

Robert D. Lyss, reviews.lowes.com
17 September 2011
  • Summary: This Kitchenaid model is so impressive that when it was installed in our kitchen, I jumped around it like the homonids facing the Monolith in the film "2001." Seriously. It's quiet, elegant, and the interior is *very* well-designed with easily adjustable shelving and removable door shelves. It's deceptively spacious and readily accommodates the needs of a family of three. Also, kudos to Lowe's delivery service!
  • Pros: High quality, Durable
  • Cons: none
