Summary: Have had this fridge for a few years and it has been nothing but problems. Similar issues to what you read here. Ice maker jams, water leaks on the floor, door replaced, makes noises they can not trouble shoot.
Cons: Very bad quality. Leaks water, freezer door has been replaced and does not close properly. Ice maker jams. Makes a terrible noise. GE service often stumped on issues and we have had them out repeatedly for the same issue.
Summary: So far working well. You need to know that introducing new items into the freezer can cause it to take a while to stabilize the temp. Initially you need to let it take 24 hrs to stabilize at set temp. That can cause panic if you do not realize this. The ice maker is slow but will eventually make a full bin of ice. We bought the 48 inch to make the kitchen remodel look professional, we did not gain any cubic feet since this unit is counter depth.
Summary: I like the impressive stainless look and the door dispenser feature. I bought the fridge based on looks, price and my limited options for a built in this size. A previous review mentions the issue with the door shelf impacting the lowest inner shelf. That to me is a serious design flaw and actually my biggest issue with the fridge. It's where I would normally put larger heavier items like a stock pot. The door won't close properly if you do.
The main circuit board went out after less than two years of use.

Summary: Unfortunately, we chose all GE Profile, top-of-the-line appliances for our new home. The built-in 48-inch refrigerator stopped working two weeks ago after less than two years of operation. It took a total of 11 days for the GE recommended service company to diagnose the problem, order the part and install it. (Try to imagine 11 days without a refrigerator!
