Summary: I purchased this unit for my off grid solar powered home. I was shocked at how efficient it is. After 48 hours on a watt-hour meter, usage was 1.25 watt hours, or .6125 watt-hours per day. When running, it draws .8 amps. It is quiet, roomy, with elegant clear shelves and door space. I researched the energy star website for the most efficient unit and this was it. I tried to find this model locally (Phoenix) and no one had it.
Summary: great value for Energy Star - stainless steel "look" so it's a BREEZE to keep clean. Spacious for a space-saving appliance; love the clear bins, so don't have to actually open a bin to see what's in there - excellent door storage! If an ice-maker is a priority for you, this is not the appliance for you - but, for me, it's not hard to run the tap and fill up the trays. I understand some people's priority for that amenity, but superfluous for my needs.
Summary: Pro's Great Box quiet and roomy and keeps food cool, appears well made. Nice glass shelves and good storage compartments. Con's Adjustable from front only and box had to be raised from rear to, keep door from closing too quickly. Possible my floor wasn't level not sure if that was the case. If you can deal with that I highly reccomend.
Summary: We puchased the "stainless steel look". It looks like staninless and does not smudge like stainless. It is beautiful as well as functional. We live in an apartment and the new refrigerators are much too tall. This fridge gave us the max capacity and was a perfect fit under our 1930 cabinets. The doors hold gallon bottles, condiments, soda etc. -lots of stuff. I like that cause it frees up the fridge space.
Summary: I bought this fridge/freezer because I have limited space in my kitchen and because it was advertised as being quiet and maintenance free. It is fairly quiet and seems well insulated as the thermostat is off more than its on, with long periods of no noise at all. Functions as it should and takes large items.
