Summary: We purchased this model (EI23BC35KS4) about 8 months ago and have had no issues with it. I think that unfortunately many of the other reviews here are referring to older models. This particular model has LED lighting, which I assume must have solved the issue of the incandescent bulbs 'blistering' the plastic because ours doesn't seem to have that problem. I also think the design of the upper ice machine has been improved because ours works just fine.
Summary: This is the worst appliance we have ever owned. From day one it was incredibly noisy with long run times and abysmal ice output even when new. Just after the warranty expired, the ice-maker starting making lound banging sounds then quit producing any ice. It makes 1,001 different sounds including clunks, bangs, buzzes and whines, to name just a few, and that's with the ice-maker turned off. It does this all day long with only short quiet periods.
Summary: This was a little aggravating as it took two replacement units to get one that worked. The "good " one is great but I feel there should be some compensation from Abt for the 4 days I had to be here for the multiple services and installations.
Pros: Attractive Design, Customizable Shelving, Easy Access, Energy Efficient
Summary: So far so good. Happy with the fridge, looks great and functions well. The second ice maker produces a lot of ice which we were always running out of with our Bosch. The counter depth provide a nice shallow look.
Summary: While the styling of this refrigerator is great, and the space very flexible, I was disappointed in the freezer capacity and when the upper ice dispense stopped working after only 4 months of minimal use, I came to the conclusion that we could have done much better for our money. Electrolux, I am told, is a Frigidaire division which leads me to believe that both brands are not what one expects them to be.
