Bosch BT26FT70 refrigerator is junk and Bosch don't stand by their own products. Avoid!

  • Summary: Only giving 1 star because zero stars isn't an option. I purchased this from another online retailer. When switched on it did not get cold even after 2 days. I called Bosch customer services and they lady there told me call out a local service tech from Mr Appliance. I called the tech and he came out promptly and said the fridge has no freon, there's a leak in the sealed system.

  • Summary: We bought what we thought was a near the top of the line appliance. It has proven to be disappointing in the extreme. The controls are ridiculous - having to hit the button 3 times to dispense ice or water. The dispensing outlet is too restricted and a lot of ice falls to the floor. The refill time is crazy slow - and if you deign to believe the "quick ice" button is the solution - good luck! I finally had the ice part of the appliance replaced - it did no good.

Worst appliance experience I've ever had

  • Summary: We purchased this refrigerator in June 2013. The first week of December 2013, it was no longer cooling (a mere 6 months after purhase). Since it was still under warranty, Bosch sent out a technician. He's been to our house now 4 times total replacing parts including the computer and the fan. We're now on 6 weeks without a refrigerator (including having guests over the holidays). Bosch customer service has no sense of urgency or desire to assist.

  • Summary: Bosch customer service supervisor "Ricki" tells us only disgruntled people write reviews. Nonsense: this company is producing substandard products and selling them as premium. People don't come to the Internet to "trash" - they come to the Internet to ALERT because, unlike Bosch, people tend to care about one another as consumers.

DONT DO IT!

  • Summary: We bought this with much anticipation almost 3 years ago when buying a new house. Our reasoning being that Bosch makes great appliances, yes?! NOT THIS ONE. The ice maker has worked maybe 5% of the time we have owned it. With the extended warranty we bought, it has been fixed, or replaced, a total of SIX TIMES. And still never, or rarely works. We've been buying ice for 3 years!!! How this can be, I am not sure. But don't take the chance we did!

  • Summary: Broke down soon after purchase. Had a Bosch repairman out twice, who tried to charge us over $700 to replace a part. Repairman is a joke. He blamed the problem on our oven. Stay away from Bosch.

Stainless refrigerator is rusting

  • Summary: The stainless refrigerator started rusting within 6 months of buying it. I contacted Bosch customer service more than 10 times about the issue, sent photos of the rusting. However, they didn't respond with any resolution. All they did was to send conditioning wipes which don't eliminate the rusting. I am very dissappointed by Bosch products sold in the US as well as the customer service.

RUN AWAY! Can't get fridge below 45*!!! TWICE!

  • Summary: Seriously..Run AWAY from this fridge!!! It does not COOL! If you consider 45* adequate, then consider it, but I can honestly say, I had cheese MELT in this fridge! We had 6 service calls in less than a year, and it was replaced by a brand new one. (surely, the problem was just a fluke, right?) WRONG! Same EXACT problem with the new one! Set the temp at 35* (which was the lowest it would allow) and the control panel would re-set it to 43*.

DO NOT BUY

  • Summary: We bought 3 appliances from Bosch-Range, Fridge/Freezer and dishwasher. We have had major issues with all 3 and replaced the range twice before getting rid of it for a GE brand. Now, our freezer is shot and the worst part about was the awful customer service. The freezer is 4 years old so I did not expect them to do anything but they were incredibly rude and non helpful. I have never written a review on anything in my life.
