Summary: i use this in an over the road truck application. It is bigger than i expected but extremely happy with it. It has more room than the original one installed in the truck. The amount of power it uses is great. i can shut my truck off for 14 hours and not run the battery down. it holds it cool really well I have it set at 35 degrees and food stays cold and it only kicks on about once every 2 hours for less than 15 minutes.
Summary: So far I'm really impressed. I usually dry camp and this think uses very little power considering the performance. To test it, I let it run at 30 degrees for three days. Used 1 full volt off my two battery bank (12.7 to 11.7 the next day). Now granted that was the only thing running but that just goes to show is efficiency. Highly recommend.
As much as me and my husband wanted to like this Whynter 65 Quart Ref/Freezer

Summary: First off, let me state that Amazon has been superb, prompt and expeditious in its handling of this damaged item. 5 stars for Amazon. If I could I would give Whynter zero stars, I would!! Please read review below. As much as me and my husband wanted to like this Whynter 65 Quart Ref/Freezer, we were thoroughly disappointed in the company as a whole. Especially for nearly a $700.00 item with tax.
Summary: We RV full time in a 5th wheel. I love to cook. When we leave Montana, I fill the freezer with venison, elk, grouse, and fish. When I am done with that, Costco meats replace it. We live off solar and this freezer is very efficient. 2.5 amps per hour but it hardly cycles on and we have been in hot temps. It keeps a constant -3 degrees which is where I set it at. Great for ice cream as our other freezer in the galley only gets down to about +10 degrees.
