Summary: Great Refridgerator, puts the Igloo/Coleman coolers to shame. Only downside was I planned on mounting it in my truck like a refrigerator instead of an ice chest, but it will not/ manufacturer does not recommend it be stood up. Had to take out the passenger seat to make room for it. Performance is 5 star.

Summary: Have not use this yet but I plugged it in the other night and with in 10 min it was a -3 in side. I looks well built. The leaches are are of good quality my option was put in a new $2300.00 fridge / freezer in my fifth wheel and only gain 20% more freezer space this was a no brainier. This has a lot of room.
Summary: I have had two of these units on my boat. I am a liveaboard cruiser and spend winters in the Bahamas. These units last about 2 years and then start to fail. up to that point they work fine. They are very expensive to have repaired costing more then the original price. If you are looking for long time service I would not recommend these units.
It's eplacing an oooollllddd Norcold, that up and died ...

Summary: It's eplacing an oooollllddd Norcold, that up and died. The Whytner is about the same size as my old one, just about 4 inches taller. Cools down quick, and keeps a cold temp. Also, it uses a lot less 12 volt amps than my old one.
Summary: i use this in an over the road truck application. It is bigger than i expected but extremely happy with it. It has more room than the original one installed in the truck. The amount of power it uses is great. i can shut my truck off for 14 hours and not run the battery down. it holds it cool really well I have it set at 35 degrees and food stays cold and it only kicks on about once every 2 hours for less than 15 minutes.
Summary: I bought this portable unit to carry food and drinks along on frequent camping trips. The unit was delivered when promised. It was packed very well and had no damage. It took it about 45 minutes to cool down from 83 degrees to 32 degrees. Since we would be taking it camping, I needed to know how long it would last on DC power hooked up to a 210 amp hour 12v battery.
