Summary: I bought this freezer in Nov, 2013, but I didn't start using it until December. Packed it up with frozen food (including the wedding cake top from my daughter's wedding cake). I don't open it often, and it seemed okay in January when i took out some food, but in February when i went to get something from it, it was not cooling and i had to throw out over $200 in food - including my daughter's cake.
Summary: Good to store a bunch of (relatively) small packages of frozen foods. It has 4 wire racks (cannot be rearranged, I think), and each can store a pretty good amount (e.g. two packages of 5.5 lb Costco Kirkland frozen veggies on each rack). It doesn't take much space, and also looks good. Very happy customer.
Summary: I was very hesitant because I have not heard of this brand name before, and wanted to buy a reputable brand name. But big name brands don't make small freezers like this so i had to take a chance. And now I'm a satisfied consumer. This is a perfect size for me (single family), and I can finally shop at costco thanks to this. Considering the value of how i can use this it is very inexpensive. It's been working very well so far. No white frost.
Summary: This unit is chilling down to -20 at max setting. We like the drawers as they meet our demands. The lock is bs, as you can open it with the right sized hex-key (which, in our household, is a common thing). The unit appears well made, and so far it does not make any significant noise. I didn't realize it was manual defrost before purchase, but with what we know now, would still have purchased. Seems to fit the bill. 4 stars = meets expectations, which this unit does.
