Summary: It's actually 3.0 cubic feet--not 2.8 as advertised. And it's larger than advertised as well 21.26 x 22.4 x 34.66. So if you're trying to put it in tight space, be forewarned that it may not fit. I was disappointed that it didn't fit where I originally planned, but I'll figure something else it. It's a pain in the neck to send it back.

Summary: I purchased this wine cooler to store my humidors in as it is too warm in my house to keep the humidor at 72 percent humidity. At a later date I will convert this to store cigars and eliminate the need for the humidors. The packaging it arrived in is very sturdy. I was very impressed by the care and attention that it was shipped it. The set up was very quick and easy. After extracting the unit from the 2 shipping boxes I plugged it in in my closet.
Unconventional use for cooler doesn't work, but it's a good cooler anyway.

Summary: I bought this to help simulate conditions of the San Francisco waterfront, in hopes of making better sourdough bread. It holds the air temp at 54 degrees, and with the pan of salt water, I think I've come pretty close. But it didn't make my sourdough loaf all that much better. Slow rising helped, but maybe I should have added some dead fish. Or something. Anyway, I use it now to keep a few bottles of red cool, and some whites half-way to chilled.
Summary: I won't go into detail describing the attributes of the racks and how the bottles fit... but, yes it's limited to "normal" bottles and yes, it does have a fairly constant "hum" of the small external fan from the back of case. If you understand the way a peltier (thermoelctric) cooler works, this unit does it's cooling slowly (that could be a good thing, so the cork doesn't get a sudden decrease pressure shock) and you will have stable temps, but you'll need to ensure...
Summary: Doesn't cool to 54 (or close to it). I have mine in a well ventilated area and can't get it lower than 62. Contacted number on manual and was told for it to reach optimum cooling temperature one must have it filled completely (20 bottles....?). The rep even suggested placing soda cans or the like to fill. Very odd and not mentioned anywhere on product description so beware.
Summary: Have had this for several months now. Wanted to use it for awhile before I wrote a review. Like this better than my old freezer at the top of my old refrigerator. Freezes well and things don't get buried in the back.
