Summary: I bought this freezer last summer and it started acting up before the warranty ran out. Called the home improvement store that I bought it from and they stated that I needed to "Call the manufacturer". Turns out HAIER also manufactures Holiday. Called them and told them what happened and they did not dispute the claim whatsoever, This was May 15th, 2013. You would think it would be settled by now (July 5th, 2013), right? Wrong!!
Summary: It came a little damage but seller fix that problem. This freezer does the job. We are a family of five and it holds more then enough food for us. Thought it was small and wouldn't work but it fooled me. It holds a lot of food and keeps it frozen very well never had to take the freezer over about three to keep food frozen.
Summary: Originally, I received the freezer in damaged condition (It looked like a forklift had hit the box... Directly in front of the power control box on the freezer: It was smashed) So I called, expecting a big hassle: They were VERY nice! They sent a driver out the next day, picked up the old one, and dropped off the new one! As far as the freezer itself, it's fantastic: It runs very quietly, uses very little power, and has a LOT of space.
Summary: After less than 2 years it stopped working and the manufacturer wanted me to cover the labour to fix it. It was going to cost more than buying it in the first place to get it fixed. If you're looking for a good investment I suggest you keep looking.
Summary: I bought this unit almost 3 years ago [...] and just suddenly it just died yesterday. Came home from work to see a puddle under it and all thawed inside. I will purchase a different make now. Less than 3 years is ridicules for a chest freezer. The only reason it gets one star is because you have to at least click one or the site won't except your review. On second thought it was nice looking..
