  • Summary: This freezer can be purchased for much less at Sam's Club, but you might want to reconsider your purchase. When there is a power outage-- thunder storm, electrician working at the box, etc. -- you must manually unplug the freezer, wait a minute, and plug it back in. There is no automatic restart, even though the green light is on. The motor is very quiet, so you'll need to get down near the floor to even hear if it has come back on.

  • Summary: This freezer meets our needs nicely. The size of the freezer takes up very little room for the capacity it has. It is well made and I'm confident will serve us well for years. But it was damaged on delivery. The shipping package is not good enough to protect the Freezer. It is just packed in Styrofoam and shrink wrap. It appears that it was dropped at some point during shipping and crushed one corner.

  • Summary: Very nice unit. Runs very quietly. The two top baskets make it very convenient and very quick to access often used items. Also, will reduce the time the door is open and thereby the frost build up. Freezer is 2/3 full now and the food is well frozen. GE has done a great job for an entry level price.

  • Summary: This chest freezer has enough space for all my frozen items that I already had. And it stills has room for my meat when I go hunting in the fall. The green light on the front of this unit is bright to see that the chest freezer is working properly. The dial for the temperature control is very easy to move and easy to see the numbers. The lid is very light to open and close. And you don't have to use one arm to hold the lid open while you load the freezer up.

  • Summary: I bought this through site-to-store and it came a bit later than I expected, which was fine because once I got it home it worked very well and has lots of space. I started to stock it with expensive items as they went on sale and such so I could save money on my food bill for my family. All was well and good until about 4 1/2 mths later it stopped freezing, maybe the element had gone?

  • Summary: When I began researching chest freezers I came upon this one. After reading all the reviews I came to the conclusion to purchase it. I chose ship to store for the free shipping and it came in about a week from Florida ,according to the tracking. I received a text when it arrived at my local Walmart and when I went to pick it up I made sure to examine the box it was packed in for damage.
