Excerpt: We purchased this because I wanted extra space to store breast milk for our baby. It has also proved to have plenty of extra space for overflow items in our regular freezer. It is quiet and small, but has a lot of inside space.
Summary: I have no complaints about this freezer but Home Depot has it for $189 (normal price not on sale) with free delivery. One thing is you should leave the unit open to air out for at least a day or 2 before use.
Summary: I bought two of these freezers for family members and one has already failed. Both were out of warranty but less than 10 years old. The failed unit had been repaired once already, now on second failure it bought an one-way ticket to the recycle center.
Summary: It was the right size that I wanted and the delivery was reasonable time. HOWEVER, it was a damaged good that came. It didn't work. I followed the instructions to the T, and still didn't work. I up the temperature to the highest, but it was still cool, not freezing point.
Summary: Update: 3/1/2015 and this GE Freezer is running smoothly and quietly. Glad I chose it. What sold me on this "GE 5.0 cu. Ft. Chest Freezer" is the price. I purchased it locally for under $200. and it was delivered free.
Summary: I have had my freezer for about two weeks and I am very satisfied. To improve functionality I wanted two additional sliding baskets, identical to what came with the unit. It took a bit of detective work but I learned that GE part number is WR21X10208.

Summary: Great little freezer that does the job nicely for a small family. Can be purchased for less at Sam's Club online. $169 from the website if you are a Sam's member. They do charge shipping and tax, but still the total was only $204. Almost 100 bucks cheaper than Amazon.
