Summary: Honestly, I have worn (and loved) every kind of Opium there is, but this one threw me. Something a little skanky underneath the elegance. A bit like the way I imagine a brothel. Rename it Belle de Jour. Please be aware that perfume smells different on everyone and this is a subjective reaction.
Excerpt: Belle D'Opium was a big disappointment to me yesterday when it finally arrived. Opium has always been my favorite fragrance so I was delighted to try a "new version". From all I had read from other critiques I was dying to try it. I tried it 3 times in 24 hrs.
Summary: This product was horrible! The perfume was diluted. No matter how many times I put it on or how many squirts I used a day, within 30 minutes you could not smell it. I was extremely disappointed, especially since I have gotten this perfume from a store in the mall. I have two bottles of crap!
Summary: Don't be fooled into thinking this new bottle of Opium is the same as the old bottle of Opium because it is not. The ingredients in the new bottle is even different than the old Opium. It doesn't even smell like the same perfume, because it isn't.
Summary: I am not sure why they would keep the name Opium if you change the ingredients and change the scent? It is not even close to being a familiar scent. If someone from Yves Saint Laurent would just change the name and put the name to bed and just admit it's over, then hopeless customers like me...
Summary: I was so disappointed. I had been waiting for some time for it to hit places here in usa. Europe got it first. I had a sample given to me bu dillards a yr ago and it was awesome. very so much me. I got this yesterday. It went on really strong and not at all what the sample smelled like.
Summary: This item was so bad--cannot compare with real Opium by Yves Saint Laurent cologne--why do you deal with companies which hose down your customers? I shall stick with Kindle books and hope that I get what I pay for, although even that is questionable.
