  • Summary: I got a small 6ml decant of this perfume. Gosh! its wonderful!! But too feminine for a male if you ask me. At first it was ok. The opening had a dark, mysterious je-ne-se-quoi vibe (chocolate perhaps?) to it. But as it dries down, the florals starts kicking in and man! There is no stopping it!! It just starts projecting and projecting, I was actually kind of embarrassed because as a man it was just powder, jasmine and orchids.

  • Summary: Picture this: At night, a beautiful dressed woman who is a bit of a seductress walked into a thick forest, lost in the mystic essences of the wild black orchids and the earthy aromas of patchouli and truffles deep in the damp soil. There is a chill in the atmosphere, but she is warmed up by the dark chocolate and spices with her. There are a lot of other things that smell in the background of this complex beauty too.

  • Summary: At the beginning of the film The Big Sleep, Philip Marlowe takes a case for General Sternwood, meeting him in the orchid room at the Sternwood mansion. We learn the General doesn't really like orchids. "Nasty things", he says. "Their flesh is too much like the flesh of men, and their perfume has the rotten sweetness of corruption." I thought of that scene when applying this perfume.

  • Summary: This parfume needs respect and every complimet that it acquired is true. As a young man 25 who I am, I think that is a "fatal femme" parfume, and if she is a strong character or seeexxyyy every time, there is no problem by using this every day; but sometimes, occasionaly (rare or frequently - circumstance), this parfume makes the man that is wearing BO even a big di*k and strong ba*ls and screaming sex male....with confidence.

  • Summary: This fragrance is intriguing. I discovered quickly that Black Orchid requires a light hand. Give it about 30 minutes to settle in. On me, the opening was very cold menthol or camphor and, like I said, took about 30 minutes to settle and begin to mellow and change. It stays cold but evolves into what I would describe as roasted licorice. The dry down is nice, more subdued. I save this for days when I need a quick wake up.

  • Summary: On my skin it's very medicinal like, similar to vicks menthol. I imagine something of the deepest and darkest green mixed with wilted flowers. Patchouli and tuber is also strong, giving this a fresh soil and dark earth quality.I do get incense and bitter notes(im guessing from the chocolate). Last but not least, dark berries and fruit, but way overdue...

  • Summary: This review is only based on minimal wearings but I have to say my initial impression as a man is this TF would be just masculine enough with it's patchouli notes to be in my weekly rotation. But if your a gent who sides on the absolutely "no labels for ladies" on your bottles or needs a dark powerhouse you might pass on this sweet chocolatie vibe creation.

lotus and jasmine, fragrantica.com

  • Summary: A blind buy based on the reviews here- thank you, everyone! TFBO is phenomenal. On my skin the strongest notes are the cacao, lotus, and truffles, with vanilla, sandalwood, and incense rounding out the scent. The longer I wear it, the more the citrus, jasmine and gardenia start to catch my attention. This scent is amazing, a little sweet, a little ashy, very deep, warm, and suggestive.

  • Summary: After all the overdone hoopla about this fragrance, I ordered a decant just to try it out and see what all the noise was about... A big NOTHING...No train wreck to unfix my eyes from, no soft-porn images floating thru the mind, or trashy sexual anything here, folks... It simply translated like just another bland aquatic on my freshly showered and prepared skin! Yes...aquatic -- everyone's chemistry IS different, and that's how this baby is smellin' on me..
