Summary: "Silk Way" by Ted Lapidus was on sale at TKMAxx last week and I bought it without sampling, since I remembered many favourable reviews of this scent. And then, I also like the name, evoking the ancient trade route that used to link China, India, Persia and Europe. "Silk Way" starts with slightly fruity notes and a bit of lemon (nice!), but the dominant accord is an incredibly cloying, synthetic cedarwood-cinnamon-combo.
Summary: I read somewhere that this perfume smells "expensive" and I have to agree. Not sure it's right for my skin but for the price, this gorgeous fragrance is worth a scent-unsmelled online purchase gamble.
Excerpt: I love this scent because it is very light and not overbearing just the right amount of kick.I can't smell it myself after awhile, but others can.I do plan on purchasing again would also like lotion or bath soap or whatever else is available in this scent.I have already recommended to a friend.
Pros: Clean & Fresh, Great Smell, Great Value, Not Overpowering
Summary: This fragrance is a whole lot like Barbara Bui. It is a nice incense fragrance. The opening is a little strong for me, so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. But for the price this is a very nice incense.
Summary: I am so glad I made this purchase. I read a few reviews on this perfume. I was looking for something for the fall/winter months with a cinnamon smell. This was the perfect find! As described on fragrancenet: "Top notes are citruses, red peach and apple; middle notes are ceylon cinnamon, atlas cedar, jasmine and peony; base notes are amber, bourbon vanilla, incense and white musk." Elegant and expensive smell at a great price, I really like it.
