Reviews and Problems with Shiseido Feminite Du Bois Parfum

Summary: I think this may be one of those fragrances that chooses its people. It hasn't chosen me. I keep retrying it every once in a while because it has so many notes in it that I usually love. (And I do like Fendi's Asja, which has a lot of them in it.) On me, it's plums that have just started to ferment, with a dusting of cumin. Yuk.
Summary: I can't comment on the packaging but I received a sample after hearing so many raves about this and I guess I am in the minority because the minute I put this on I had to get it off and fast. It just did not work with me. Very very heavy, I didn't feel it was feminine at all and I love feminine scents - just overpowering and strong. Maybe it's the clove that's in it? Whatever it was it's not for me and I'll be sending my sample onto someone else.
Summary: I hate to give such a low rating to a much-beloved scent, but this is HIDEOUS on me. It honestly makes my stomach do flip flops, and little shivers creep down my back with disgust. Too bad, because this is probably the most reasonably priced Serge Lutens available ($57 at the Shiseido in Edgewater, NJ). I don't get much fruit, just wood and spices and that sweaty body odor smell.
