Summary: Spraying this on is like spraying on a cavalcade of flowers. It is like walking outside with a light dewey rain but instead of rain drops falling on you it is flower petals....beautiful white flower petals. Oscar is a true perfume. It was released when perfumes smelled like perfume....not a bowl of fruit, or a cake or a box of cupcakes or a masculinized woodsy scent for women. I can sense beautiful aldyhydes too that give the scent a lovely lilt.
Summary: I have so many good memories with this perfume. This was my Aunt Doris(Doe Doe's) signature throughout the 1980's, and smelling it always brings me back in time. Oscar is very powdery/sweet with notes of clove, mild tuberose, lavender, vanilla and sandalwood. On my skin, it's very clean smelling, kind of soapy sweet. I find Oscar to be a comforting fragrance, not only because of my personal memories, but its overall powdery/friendly vibe.
Summary: Everything Chanel No 5 SHOULD HAVE BEEN. Wait for it... because the base notes are ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR heaven. It takes a few hours but it's WORTH IT. A most refined and classy scent. Powdery with some light aldehyde. Just amazing. I hear it's unusual for someone my age to be wearing it as it was popular decades ago but this is a classic treasure. Perfect for any formal function, very ladylike and sophisticated without being cloying. Loves my body chemistry.
Summary: I just came back from a perfume warehouse sale, so many different perfumes i couldnt decide which to choose! And by the time I got around to this I dont think i could smell anything properly. I just loved the packaging, this came with a free powder and mini perfume. I really didnt know what to expect when I brought it home. Ok so I open the box and spray in just my wrists. OMG this is so strong!
