putrid piercing peony

PBullFriend, parfumo.net
26 January 2014
  • Summary: As I've noted in some other reviews, I've tried quite a few peony scents in the last few months because I have a niece who's looking for just the right one. My stash of peony-related samples is dwindling, and I'm rather happy about that. L'eau Jolie, while listed as having some notes I often love (blackcurrant, cedar), is all about the peony. It's that gigantic, smothering pink peony out of the test tubes of an evil laboratory that I've smelled in so many other scents.

Je l'aime

Gold, parfumo.net
24 January 2014
  • Summary: "Elle l'aime" is a fragrance which is simple (a lime-coconut-combo) and serene. Its main chord is emphatically gourmand and reminds me of delicious French desserts. But the sweetness is never overpowering, because underneath the heart there is a beautiful interlacing of quiet woody notes and vanilla. Okay, the composition is not very original, but quite enchanting.

L of a mistake!

acleverna..., Ciao
12 April 2013
  • Excerpt: "...blind buy. I have tried other Lolita Lempicka fragrances and liked them so I figured this wouldn't be too much of a risk. ~ Bottle ~ The bottle is gorgeous. It is a flat bottle, which is discreetly shaped a bit like a heart. The glass is actually clear glass, but the perfume inside is a blue/green colour. I think the colour of the fragrance really suits the bottle. On top of the bottle is a triangular shaped clear spray nozzle with gold decoration. ...
  • Pros: lovely bottle, reasonably priced
  • Cons: harsh spicy scent, longevity

Just a pretty bottle?

acleverna..., Ciao
20 March 2013
  • Excerpt: "For Christmas I asked for Lolita Lempicka's Forbidden Flower perfume from my partner. I wanted it as I really liked the bottle. I have since bought a few other Lolita Lempicka fragrances with a similarly designed bottle. I first tried this perfume, L'eau en Blanc, when my sister received a sample of it in a beauty box. I bought the 30ml bottle as this scent is currently more expensive than the other Lolita Lempicka fragrances and I wanted to see ...
  • Pros: Smells nice  -  reminds me of palma violets, bottle is very pretty
  • Cons: Doesn't last very long and has poor sillage

Nice scent, stunning bottle, poor staying power...

pink_cham..., Ciao

  • Excerpt: "...two small spray bottles of Lolita Lempicka perfumes in a beauty box a few months ago. One was the original Lolita Lempicka fragrance, the second was L'Eau en Blanc which is the one I am reviewing here. I will start with a quick note on the bottle. Bear in mind I don't own the full sized bottle of course, but I wish I did as it looks more like an ornament than a perfume bottle, it's just stunning. The fragrance comes in an apple shaped bottle through ...
  • Pros: smells nice, bottle is amazing
  • Cons: staying power is very poor, smell is not that great when first sprayed

Lde Lolita Lempicka is my new signature scent

Rachel191..., Ciao
18 July 2009
  • Excerpt: "...& Rolf. This L de Lolita Lempicka is pretty much in the same family as those. The good thing is that this fragrance is less expensive. Angel costs £98.00 = $160.00 Flowerbomb costs £92.00 = $150.00 L de Lolita Lempicka costs £54.50 = $89.00 almost half the price '''Concept''' The marketing concept of this perfume left me a bit confused but that is the only questionable trait of this perfume. Let me explain. The perfume is supposed to be based ...
  • Pros: beautifully blended to create a perfect perfume
  • Cons: I think the bottle and packaging is ugly and unsuitable for this particular scent

Once upon a Little Mermaid...

lillamart..., Ciao
13 January 2008
  • Excerpt: "...name after Nabokov's immortalised character Lolita and the famous Polish art deco painter Tamara de Lempicka (1898 - 1980). As the success of the fashion boutiques opened in Paris took off, the owners changed their names to Lolita and Joseph-Marie Lempicka. Their signature Lolita Lempicka - the nice and naughty licourice based fragrance also an oriental vanilla fragrance - launched in 1988 won several awards including best fragrance and package of ...
