Summary: I was looking during severals months for my favorite Rumeur Perfume by Lanvin. I was so glad I could still command it at Fragrancex.com, because this product is no longer available in Belgium/Europe. Great!
Summary: After reading some reviews from fellow perfumistas about Rumeur I can only be -yet again- amazed at how our chemistry and sense of smell make each fragrance an utterly personal experience. I can only smile at the name and how appropriate it is: Rumeur (rumours, talk, buzz etc) Indeed! Rumeur causes a lot of that, it is a hate or love fragrance and if it were a woman she would say with a posh french accent: "love me or hate me but don't dare to be indifferent to me!
Summary: The only way to go with this fragrance is in the parfum concentration, with a 15ml bottle available for under $20 if you hunt it out. The EdP has a metallic edge to me - it might be the same bothersome quality that many others report. That bothersomeness is missing in the parfum concentration but is present in EdP. Rumeur is a pleasant floral woody musk. Nothing earth shattering but not offensive either. Would make a good office scent.
Summary: Rumeur has a special meaning for me...This is the scent my mother used when she met & fell in love with my father in 1946..She always told me about it & that is was discontinued long ago..I wished that I could find it for her & I always searched antique stores hoping to find a small bottle for her...I never did. They are both gone now & one day I was in a store & saw Rumeur! Could it be the same?..I was stunned..Lanvin brought it back!!
Pros: Clean & Fresh, Constant compliments, Long-Lasting, Not Overpowering, Sensual
