Summary: In this snowy cold weather, this isn't "midnight-ish" (ie, dark) enough for me. And quite frankly, it's not rosy enough either. After lately wearing the wonderful Givenchy Very Irresistible L'Intense (plum, rose, patchouli) -- and Stella, Dior Midnight Poison, Euphoria, and Victoria's Secret Seduction (dark orchid) -- this one doesn't live up to its "midnight" name IMHO -- it's not dark enough. -- or rose enough.
Summary: I really love this scent, however, I find myself carrying around decant samples often so that I can re-spray over and over again on the go. The scent does not last as long as I would like it to.
Summary: I decided to try this today, as had a lovely large sample. I have had Lancome fragrances in the past, and can't say I like them all, but this is the first fruity one I have tried. I have to be honest and say, I really don't detect Rose at all! But, Berries galore! First opening, a blast of Raspberry...followed by more berries..a hint of citrus, and still more types of berries. Too sweet for my liking, and didn't detect any cedar.
Summary: This a nighttime perfume only, for me. I find it a little overpowering for the daytime. I like it, but it's not my favorite. I keep it around for when I'm going out and in the mood for a change from my other perfumes. It smells like a vanilla musk on my skin, but sweet.
Summary: Well, this was a gift from my ex husband . . . should have warned me. Anyway, after the first initial spray I loved the berry sweetness and the slightly musky drydown, but within minutes I was left with nothing but powder and more powder. I hate powdery scents! I can wear almost anything and deal, but this was horrible on me. I hate waste, so I gave it to my mother who apparently likes it. Now, whenever I see her I am still tortured by the smell . . .
Summary: Disappointing for me. And I love raspberry-rose scents. It's not that Midnight Rose isn't pretty - it is indeed. It's a nice, pretty, sweet, fruity floral that lasts about 1/2 hour on skin, and comes in a gorgeous amethyst colored bottle. My problem with Midnight Rose is, if someone told me it was the latest and greatest Bath and Body works cologne, I'd think, "Yes. The usual, nondescript run-of-the-mill body spray.
Summary: At first spritz I get the yummy black currant and vanilla notes... then a little rose. Then the rose just completely disappears and this ends up smelling just like a sweeter tresor. Extremely similar to the original, which I don't mind but I was expecting more rose in this :( Midnight rose is just not very modern or original. And yes, it really does resemble haute couture as well! (that I wore 12 years ago!) I am disappointed.
Summary: The first thing you notice with this perfume is the top notes of roses and blackcurrant. This perfume to me smells like a cross between YSL Parisienne and Armani Diamonds. Although this perfume has noticeable floral and fruity notes it isnu2019t a fresh smelling scent at all, itu2019s more of a musky evening scent. Although I personally do not like the smell of blackcurrant, which to me is a little nauseating, this isnu2019t a bad perfume at all.
