Summary: Too strong and cloying. Sillage is high on this one. It's too bad that Lancome gave all the marketing dollars to this headache inducer and literally none to the new Tresor Lumineuse, which is so much more complex and beautiful than this one. I am a true blue Lancome Girl but this one just can't get my vote. This fragrance is like a 30 or 40 year old woman trying to dress like a teenager. I just don't get it. It's completely inappropriate.
Summary: Way too strong and mature. The body lotion is better. But this one is not wearable tome. It is moderately expensive but the bottle is a masterpiece. I think the only way to describe this perfume is NOT LIGHT. It is pretty but it needs to be diluted down. It is nothing special. I find it rather generic. Having said that I would not turn down a free bottle and I have turned down many free bottles.
Summary: At first this scent was amazing! I had a sample and used it for a few weeks to see how it worked with my body chemistry and it was great and was long lasting, so I bought the bottle. However, I've had it for less than half a year now and I've noticed the colour has changed and it smells TERRIBLE! and its not that my body chemistry has changed because it smells terrible in the bottle too.
Summary: Having 30% off coupon on my hands I came to Shoppersdrugmart with a strong intention to buy this perfume. I am glad I took time for reading reviews on this board last night. I totally agree with the lady who wrote it smells like a candle. If you like vanilla smell this perfume is for you. Unfortunately, I didn't notice anything else except straight vanilla and it does smell like a candle. Ended up buying Jadore as it always work for me.
Summary: I am lucky enough to live on the US/Canadian border so I buy my perfumes at the Duty Free Shops on both sides of the border at truly amazing prices. For example I purchased today Forbidden Euphoria /3.4 ounces/ by Calvin Klein for the unbelievable price of $64.50 and Eternity Summer/3.4 ounces/ by Calvin Klein for $ 49.60.Thus being said ,I was really looking forward to try on LVEB, as I was obsessed with the bottle.
Summary: Have received also a sample and was quite curious as this perfume was in every magazine I looked. When I tried it on my hand, I couldn't believe this fragrance was so popular. One word: afwul! Will never purchase!
Summary: I got a same of this today from Lancome. I wish I knew that it contained patchouli. I hate patchouli! Needless to say, I hate this fragrance. I got a small dab of it on my hands and I have washed them at least 10 times with 4 different soaps and the scent is still lingering. I have a headache from it now.
Summary: Nordstrom sent me a sample of this with some makeup I ordered. It is overbearing, cloying, way too sweet and headache inducing. Usually I give away sample vials I do not care for , but that I think my daughter or a friend might like. I actually put the vial of La Vie Est Belle in a ziplock so it would not stink up my garbage can. Yes, that is how godawful I thought this was. I rated this a 3 on packaging and price because I have no idea what they are.
Summary: I received a sample from Sephora, sprayed it on, and I wish I hadn't. It's just another sweet, sugary, vanilla-y fragrance that stops short of giving me a headache. I'm glad I didn't buy it. As the sweetness fades, an old-fashioned powdery scent emerges, which reminds me of inexpensive DS fragrances of long ago. I expected more from Lancome.
Summary: I smelled this in a magazine ad sample and adored it. When I went to Macy's to try it on that was not the case. It is grossly simple - sweet and nothing else. Drug store Calgon is more complex than this. I can't imagine this being suitable on any age, it's just so overwhelming and obnoxious. I couldn't wait to go home and change after putting this on. The staying power is strong, which in other circumstances would be good.
