Summary: About a month ago I went shopping for a perfume. I love both sweet and fresh scents, but I wanted something appropriate for winter days, something intriguing, sexy, sweet and gourmand. After trying like 10 perfumes that to me were all "meh", i was about to go, when the shop assistant said "here, try this one". One sniff and i was "WHOA". That sealed the deal.
Summary: My husband liked the bottle and suggested I'd try it when we were shopping at a Müller store a week ago. Unfortunately, taking aim I missed the paper strip and most of the spray landed on my fingertips. All day long my hands smelled of gummy bears. This is probably the dominant "praline" ingredient, although imo it should rather be named "gummy bear". Must be my nose. The bottle really is very nice though.
Summary: My initial reaction to this perfume was dark and sensual. I smelled warm, spicy fruit with vanilla and pralines. It almost was like the smell of a bakery. I didn't detect any florals, which was a shame. This also reminds me of walking on a sunny fall day.....the colored leaves, the cold air with a dark, rich scent..... My husband rates this one a 7 1/2 out of 10. I don't think this one is my style. Was a little too dark for my tastes.
Summary: This does not smell like Flowerbomb, unless Flowerbomb went to a candy shop and came back covered in sweets. Yes, they both are sweet and have a contain patchouli, but this is a gourmand, no doubts about it! In that sense, it's more comparable to Jimmy Choo. Thick, sweet, and edible. Flowerbomb is sweet too, but it's sweet because of the floral notes, which include a very sweet variety of orchid.
Summary: La Vie est Belle is like someone took the sweet and fresh opening of Flowerbomb and layered it over the warm, feminine body of Chanel's Allure. Bright and optimistic, almost too sweet. I love the little "scarf" on the bottle.
Summary: To me this perfume is a mature version of Miss Dior Cherie. It was gifted to my 52 years young mum and it suits her well. It smells very sweet and delicious but at the same time she doesn't smell like she sprayed one of my perfumes on myself. It is modern but at the same time grown-up.
