Summary: Cuir is a floral leather. It opens as a dark - almost smoky - leather scent that warms, mellows & lightens as it drys. The patch opens with a "slap in the face" or "sit up straight" quality to it. I sense cedar in Cuir, which isn't a listed note, but it could be the astringency of the patch leaving that impression. As it develops, the florals become more noticeable. I don't pick out jasmine & ylang-ylang, but something else.
Excerpt: A fragrance that creates a warm feel good factor that stays with you throughout the day. You will receive many compliments from your male and female friends all keen to know the name of this beautiful fragrance.

A great signature perfume that I couldn't find here in England.
Summary: If, like me, you like a perfume that's not too sweet you may like Cuir de Lancome. Forget fruity-florals, this one is for someone who likes to step away from the crowd and follow their own tastes. The rich leather note in CdL reminds me of the lining of a fine couture handbag. Cuir de Lancome is both classic and classy.
