Summary: Parfum d' Ete by Kenzo. The original formula in the massive leaf shaped bottle in heavy ground glass bottle itself is a piece of art, much better than the new cheapie one. The original now much harder to find, however I found my bottles from Thefragrancefactory.com very happy again.
Summary: I like to think of this wonderful fragrance as leaves dropping from trees during the fall season. Except for leaves they are white soft flower petals floating down enveloping the wearer in an extrodinary sense peace and calming florals . Parfum d'Ete is an exquisite white floral with a hint of green fresh cut grass. It stays on the skin a long time and projects quite well.
Summary: If you like the smell of fresh cut grass, you'll probably like this. It has other notes of course, but basically a clean, fresh, green fragrance, at its heart. I think it's wonderful, especially for spring and summer. A favorite of mine for several years now.
Summary: Like many other have noted, the original is BY FAR superior to the Kenzo d'ete of today. The original formula in the massive leaf shaped bottle is fresh and beautiful. clean and long lasting. I wore L'eau de Chloe (green bow) most recently -- it's a great scent, but it doesn't last. Notes of jasmin, fresh and slightly sweet, but not overpowering, it's still my all time favorite, even after 17 years.
Summary: I LOVE Kenzo d'ete! I was first attracted to the beautiful bottle - shaped like a Leaf (which I have forever called it - Leaf!)! It is such a mesmerising, stunning smell! If you are a 'lillies of the valley' kind of girl - I feel this scent is for you! I wear D'ete in the warmer spring/summery months! It's so light - playful and alluring, yet makes me feel sexy and feminine!
Summary: Watery, thin, green, sharp, brittle. Just a nothing, really. Maybe it was the lily of the valley which I dislike. The bottle irritated me - took up far too much space in my cupboard. It had to go.
Summary: I got this one off a friend once since she was moving abroad and could not take all of her scents with her. OK, if I evaluate this basing my comments on the smell quality only - then it is a 4 out of 5 for an absolutely lovely summer frag: a freshly cut green grass bathing in the rays of sunshine. But when it comes to staying power/silage - on me it had NONE.
Summary: Attention: I am reviewing the older version in opaque velvety bottle. This sent has been part of my signature image since 1990s. I adore this fragrance because of many reasons. It does not remind any of the present day perfumes to me and stands out of the crowd. It is also not a plain monotonous sent but rather multi-layered and sophisticated although not heavy and overpowering.
Summary: Love this unique fragrance. Remake of this perfume not as good as original. Still priced too high. Goes with everything and always a compliment. Can wear as a nurse and doesn't affect patients. Bring pack the original. Once hooked you will want it forever!
Pros: Clean & Fresh, Draws Compliments, Great Smell, Long-Lasting, Not Overpowering, Sensual, Sexy, Unique
Summary: I bought this fragrance for the time while vacationing in Aruba some 10 years ago. It is a beautiful scent that can be worn all day/night. Whenever I can find it I will buy it as it is one of my favorite by Kenzo.
