Summary: Hendricks Gin and Apres La Mousson seem unlikely bedfellows but the mind of this reviewer pays homage to Passage to India, A Jewel in the Crown and a nip of W. Somerset Maugham into the bargain. There is a metholated burst at the opening and the gin kicks in. How odd that a Frenchman encapsulated the Raj in this way. I observe the gamine eyes of the Fishing Fleet narrowing at the spiced nuances of ALM.
Summary: I want this! I got a little sample years ago and I'm trying not to finish it because I really cannot afford to buy a normal size one! Definitely a great and particular scent, one if the best I've ever smelled! Waiting for someone who gives it to me as a gift!
Summary: After reading mixed reviews and deciding to give it a try, this perfume is better than I expected - soft and feminine to my nose. A sweet note reminds me of tuberose but not so pungent. Loving Hermes for men and women more and more. Fragrance X great price and great service as ever. I buy all my perfumes here now.
Pros: Clean & Fresh, Great Smell, Not Overpowering, Sensual
Summary: I was so very hesitant to try this. When I did, I was looking for a spring fragrance that was cool yet had some zing to it, as it's still relatively cold here in the spring so I decided to give it a go. I was always afraid of it because of the negative reviews, and the fact that I loathe melon. I mean I hate it. Period. I never went through a 'cucumber melon' stage when I was young, I hate watermelon flavored/scented things, just not a fan. Except for real melon.
Summary: Nice, invigorating scent to start a morning of a busy day. Bought it online 'blind-nosed', just reading notes description and reviews on MUA, as here are no retailers for Hermes. A gingery scent dires down to delicate and soft breeze. I imagine a relief of hot summer day. Have tried many different fragrances on store, most of them are annoying or stomach-turning , so I had lots of pure luck with this.
Summary: I really enjoyed the spicy opening. The drydown reminds me of Chloe's Capucine, although I don't know if they actually share any notes. Doesn't last more than 4-5 hours, otherwise it would get 5 lippies.
Summary: i find this to be a beautiful warm-weather fragrance. it is very green and crisp, i def. pick up melon, cucumber and herbs. it is watery and light yet reminds me of Fresh Cucumber Baie a lot. it is not overly feminine or masculine i could see this working on a guy, but i like it on me and dont feel like i am wearing men's cologne. it is fresh and light, bright and feels happy to my nose- nothing heavy or cloying or sweet in this which is a nice surprise.
Summary: This is definitely a very original and unique fragrance! Melon is the predominant note followed by pepper and ginger. However, it is not really foody but rather green/aquatic. It has a very ethereal quality and it definitely is a scent for hot summer days when florals just seem too much ( you might want smth sexier for the nights, tho). The staying power, tho, is really weak. I would consider buying a full bottle.
Summary: This is a very unique scent and so far I have not bump into anyone wearing this :) The scent reminds me of childhood where I used to run through the lush green bushes after the rain. The smell of "green" is so refreshing after a heavy downpour. It's very lasting for me as well, just 3 sprays on the chest can last me for whole day at work (9 hours) in the office.
