Excerpt: If you are trying to find perfume fragrance that has oriental smells which will give you sensual, warm and aromatic fragrance, you should try to get Guerlain Shalimar . This perfume is made for women . And from the first time I tested this perfume, I already knew that I will love to wear this perfume. And now, I often wear it when I have special occasion like wedding party and other important occasions.
Summary: This was my Moms signature fragrance. She wore it all the time. I think of her each time I smell it, God rest her soul. It is a heavy, strong, scent. Pleasant, but definitely not for the meek and mild.
Summary: Review: current version EDP My bottle arrived Friday, and I was super excited to try it but I avoid trying new perfumes when I know my perfume hating husband is going to be around and comment so I just quickly opened my parcel and sprayed a tester paper. WHOA! I had bought Parfum Initial first and love it but wanted something a bit more potent, so I blind ordered the EDP. Potent indeed!
Summary: I love it, but it disappears on me in minutes. However, I CAN wear Attar Bazaar Egyptian Shalimar. It smells JUST the same, sillage and duration is longer. MUCH less expensive At least until the vanilla note surfaces.
Summary: I've recently gotten so disenchanted with the latest perfume releases, all seeming so generic and boring, that I've gone on a "classic fragrance spending spree". One of those classics is Shalimar. I purchased both the small 0.25oz parfum and the 1.7oz eau de parfum. The two are very similar, but develop differently on the skin. The parfum takes its time- after a dab on the skin a candied citrus stands front and center.
Summary: Hello! This stuff is strong. It's interesting (spicy, woodsy, vanilla musky), reminds me of strong incense, but the price is silly. I don't think it's worth the price since it does have a touch of old-lady after sits on skin for a while. A wake-up call for the senses though! I do like it. Takes me back....
Summary: Rich, somptuous, baroque chypre masterpiece. There's pretty everything in it, a comprehensive symphony or perfumery basics. Splendid talcum-powdered drydown, gentle as a lady asleep. Not much to chat about this!
Summary: The opening is the most lively, pure, beautiful bergamott one can imagine, with all the sunshine, zest and tang these fruits carry. Very in the line of the original old Acqua Colonias, the first colognes which functioned as a pick-me-up, very refreshing, and old-fashioned, in the good, timeless way. Then it transforms into sweet smoky vanilla, not the overly sweet gourmand type but one which surrounds the skin like a light silver cloud, very refined.
