Summary: I got a decant of this because I've had bad past experiences with guerlain and didn't know what to expect. To my surprise, this is actually the only perfume that I truly enjoy from initial spray to the dry down. It's never heavy, sharp or over-powering no matter how much I put on. What comes to mind whenever I smell this: fresh, feminine, classy, demure, elegant, sophisticated. Will definitely be purchasing a full bottle when the decant is all used up.
Summary: Idylle smelled so beautiful on paper and on initial spritz to my arm. BUT, suddenly and literally within less than a record two minutes, it turned to a rank BO smell. What, what?? The chemistry thing perhaps......the saleslady was wearing this and it smelled soooo good on her! Maybe it was the sunscreen underneath or maybe my skin.
Summary: I have the exact same experience and scent than sjam3295 , it's a synthetic raspberry which does not evolved in any dry down, I bought a big bottle of it and unable to wear it. Tried manny times, it is unbearable, even got a friend trying it on, I smelled the same unpleasing generic / synthetic scent of her too. Such a shame & bizarre ! Kinda glad to read I am not the only one !
Summary: Noses are strange things. The dominant note for me in this is a rather synthetic raspberry which sits next to the rose; and they're are not enjoying each other's company. However, other people who smell this ON ME talk about a lovely floral, rose and musk, slightly woody. I WISH I could smell what they are smelling! Unfortunately, I just can't - curse my nose! Ah, well, the world is full of wonderful perfumes that I do like smelling.
Summary: This is just lovely, a sophisticated, elegant, delicate and versatile musky floral, no sweetness, very distinct but light enough that it can be worn anywhere, though it makes you feel like a million bucks. If you like SPJ Lovely or Narciso Rodriguez For Her, they are all in the same family (I guess some are calling it "modern" chypres, but they are not actually chypres...still, gotta love 'em!).
Summary: I adore Idylle. I mean it's Guerlain's creation which is known for its classic and quality. It makes me feel all royal when I'm wearing it. Like I've covered myself with a blanket made of sun rays. A perefect combination of white florals and rose. The bottle is a masterpiece. Longevity could be better, I mean it's Guerlain it should have last the whole day. All in all it's still one of my favourites.
Summary: I tried this at Narita airport and could not stop thinking about it and found it online. Really a nice light lovely scent. I've never had so many people ask me what cologne I am wearing. Everytime I have my hair done, my stylists asks me what it is!
Summary: I have reconsidered my first comment in here - this beauty does last really long but for this is required that temperature level /humidity where isn't too hot or too wet. So warm sunny days with + 20 to + 27 C degrees and you could have it on up to 12+ hours easily. Delightful and most distinctive aroma concoction! Loving it at the time being in a very romantic mood..
Summary: My mom had this perfume and it always smelt very bitter and old lady like to me. Then I purchased the Narciso Rodriguez edt and she said it smelt just like the Idylle I hated! I don't know which note it is that smells so bitter to me but once it evaporates, this perfume is simply divine! Reminds me a lot of the Narciso edp rather than the edt. Gorgeous.
