Summary: Beautifully fresh and sharp, this is one of my all time favourite scents. It is essentially grapefruit, but not sickly or cheap smelling like, say, a Body Shop equivalent. This entire line of perfumes is bewilderingly underrated, but then I prefer not to have the same bottle of perfume as every other woman out there (e.g. Daisy by Marc Jacobs).
Summary: I do not usually gravitate toward the citrusy family of scents, but Pamplelune is too divine to pass up. It is a fizzy vibrant grapefruit balanced with bergamot. It definitely does not smell artificial or too acidic at all (can't grasp the cat pee that others are sensing). It is a sunny, grapefruit soda that wears beautifully throughout the day. It is a bit on the linear side, but I don't mind that because Pamplelune is that gorgeous.
Summary: This starts out very 'grapefruity' which can also come off smelling somewhat like catpee but not quite. It is still very fruity in the opening and I find it rather quirky and enjoyable. After about 15 minutes it starts to soften and smells of flowers and fur, very soft and lovely. This is my favorite part of its progression however it only lasts about an hour. Then it becomes rose, pure rose on me and not a very good one, quite chemically and it picks up strength.
Summary: I am a citrus scent lover, and given that funds and cabinet space are limited, I had to pick just two to own. I chose Eau de Guerlain and Aqua Allegorica Pamplelune. I am not really good about understanding the notes in fragrences, but I smell something really gorgeously sweet in this, and I chose it because it has this sweetness while Eau de Guerlain is more herbal.
Summary: Reading the reviews below would probably put most off this fragrance, and that's a pity, because Luca Turin is correct when he says this is the best grapefruit fragrance ever. He famously dubbed it "a sunny masterpiece" and I have to agree. When you first spritz the EdT, you get black currant, basil, bergamot and fresh grapefruit - a macedoine of citrus fruit. As it dries down, the neroli & petitgrain become more apparent while the black currant carries over.
Summary: No.1 mood lifter for me! The patchouli anchors the citruses and it's not as fleeting as many other citrus-based scents. Absolute stock-worthy and a staple for all year round because in spring and summer it's refreshing and in winter it lifts your mood making you think of summer days. The grapefruit is an aromatherapeutical and the herbal blackcurrant and smooth vanilla make it a true Guerlain blend.
Summary: I call this my happy juice! Seriously uplifting and absolutely addictive. I have bottles stashed everywhere. I spray and immediately break into a smile. No other fragrance makes me feel this way so this will always hold a special place in my heart.
Summary: I'd been after this fragrance for several years and it was always sold out/out of stock. Now I know why! It makes me feel optimistic and alive, full of energy and love of life. I know it sounds like a tall order but it is definitely true. If you use this fragrance when you're blue, it'll change your outlook immediately. My only regret is that I only purchased one bottle!
Pros: Clean & Fresh, Draws Compliments, Great Smell
