Summary: Opened with floral grapefruit perfection. Dried down to distinct note of cat pee. Seriously. Dried cat pee. This is my all time favorite fragrance house;clearly they had a cat house in mind when developing this scent. Atrocious. RUN!
Summary: I want to give this a ZERO. This shouldn't be listed under fragrances at all, its a stench! I got this as part of a gift set...all the other Guerlains smelled great but this one was terrible! My hubby was outraged at the 'cat pee' smell which we just classified as an ammoniacal odour! I find it hard to believe it has anything to do with body chemistry cuz it smells the same even on just a piece of card! I can't believe Guerlain is even producing this stuff!
Summary: Omg. I tried it in sephora today. I swear, it smelled just like the kitty litterbox after we've gone away for the weekend and left the cats indoors. The smell is uncanny. If it didn't waft up and hit me in the face I would never have believed that a perfume could smell like this. Wow.
Summary: Obviously there are huge variances in people's chemistries and also how we perceive fragrances, or Pampelune would've been taken off the market years ago. You cannot believe how HORRID this smells on me...forgive my rudeness, but it smells exactly like cat pee!! Huge ammonia note! I rather like the Aqua Allegoria line as a whole though.
Summary: I tried this on in Sephora and it smelled lighty and citrusy while I was walking around the store. Then I got on the subway and noticed a nasty bo smell ...and realized it was coming from MY arm. A real scrubber but not as much as the one with basil.
Summary: I tried this on in Sephora, intrigued by the grapefruit note. And boy was I glad I did beforehand. I walked around the mall and smelled my wrist, eau de cat's pee! I don't get any b.o. out of it - just the aura of fresh cat's pee. Suffice it to say, I wound up purchasing YSL's baby Doll instead. I own many of the Aqua Allegorias from Guerlain, but clearly, this will not be one of them.
Summary: Starts as earthy sun-warmed citrus. But the heart note is fresh sweat, as if you'd just showered but then went out on a hot and humid day. The fragrance develops (perhaps "devolves" would be a better term) into stale sweat, as if you'd been out on that hot humid day *without* showering. One of Guerlain's more dubious achievements.
Summary: One disclaimer; this review is based on me sampling this perfume, NOT buying it. I sprayed this on, generously, was out for several hours, came home and was *horrified* how I smelled. I was thinking "I know it was warm out, but I usually do not sweat, how can I smell like this, what is this, some hormonal thing???" And the, I smelled my forearm. I was both relieved and repelled.
Summary: I read somewhere that this fragrance was created to mimick an "unwashed body" and let me tell you, that's what it exactly smells like on me, and this is not a good thing considering I spend a good chuck of money on body washes, gels, etc to NOT SMELL LIKE THIS LOLLLLL ;) It smells like how you would smell if you forgot to put deodorant on in 100 degree weather mixed in the scent of sour rotten citrus fruit. Oy what a mess this was with my body chemistry.
