Summary: I bought this perfume as a GIFT for my girlfriend and signed checked the "this is a gift item" checkbox. However, the item wasn't sent as a gift (price tag was included) and the gift message I wrote wasn't included in the package!!! Furthermore, the address wasn't written completely (apartment and house numbers were missing) and as a result, it wasn't delivered directly to the house but to the apartment office.
Summary: Acqua di Gioia ("water of joy") is on the best-seller list everywhere, and I can see why -- it's about the most PC perfume on the planet, in my humble opinion. It's just about perfect for being light, clean, fresh, and inoffensive. Not heavy, not sharp, not strong. Clean, light, fresh, aquatic. Extremely well-behaved, and any age can wear it anywhere, in any season, for any occasion. A great all-around light, inoffensive, clean, aquatic perfume.
Excerpt: I picked this fragrance because I knew I loved the men's version. The scent is a perfect feminine variation, I just wish I didn't have to reapply so frequently. Pro: the rollerball fits in my purse. Con: the rollerball doesn't spray into clothing which usually lasts longer than just skin application.
Summary: Okay, it's not awful. It smells like every other aquatic floral out there. The problem with that is that every other aquatic floral out there gives me a headache. This one is no exception. Something about the sharpness of the ozone and the sheer strength of the "fresh/ocean" scent gives me an awful headache (D&G Light Blue and Chanel Chance eau Fraiche did the same thing, and both have a similar note). If you're headache prone, I'd pass on this one.
