Summary: I totally agree with Beejoux42. I received this as a Christmas present and couldn't wait to tear into it thinking finally my HG...boy was I wrong! This was a total let down. I don't know if it's my body chemistry but, it smells like a dank, smelly old lady on me.
Summary: I've worn Elie Saab EDP and found it strong strong STRONG -- enters the room before I do -- fills the room -- & probably hovers for days after I leave. Embarrassing perfume to wear -- makes me feel incredibly self-conscious. Elie Saab is a pure heady white floral, unsoftened by any fruits or musks. This is a bold floral, to my nose. Orange blossom & jasmine, strong on both counts, but mostly an orange blossom scent, I think. I picture Beverly Hills ladies wearing this.
Summary: Spritzed twice on my arm in the store and it followed me around all day long, for probably 10 hours (hot day, though). Points for lasting power, but otherwise it's a generic floral with some oriental notes.
Summary: I desperately wanted to like this because I thought it would wear just like Narciso Rodriguez's For Her. I couldn't have got it more wrong. Just a spritz and I got a headache, an upset stomach and had to wash it off really hard. I'm afraid this is one which I'm giving a miss...
Summary: Love orange blossom, hate jasmine. I gave this a 2 purely because the bottle is great and after a couple of hours (and some Advil) this fragrance isn't bad. Initially this is very sweet, so much so that it is an instant headache for me. I won't be wearing this one much and definitely won't buy again.
Summary: I was really disappointed in this - I love Elie Saab's feminine, classy designs and thought the fragrance would be just as beautiful. It's marketed as an upscale perfume but it smells like a downmarket drugstore fragrance - too heavy, too sharp and well, just cheap. Too bad.
Summary: I was intending to buy this fragrances even before I smell it because of such a big brand name! But I was so disappointed at the end of the day. It smells different but nothing really special. My boss (40'ish male) said it smells like an old lady...
Summary: I can't speak as a user of this full product, a promoter spritzed this on my wrist. And I havvvve to comment. This is so #Chloe Love edp! What happened? I luve Chloe Love for its ultra-feminine cream bouquet kinda scent. A classy take on florals. But Elie Saab, u rate low in originality...not akin to the gorgeous dresses u're renowned for. Also, the drydown smells like another floral. Sorry Saab, am not feelin it.
Summary: Orange blossom, with something woody/grassy trying to balance out the soapy/screechy. The first three minutes were awful, just a big-white-flower cacophany. Like I was being tackled by a whole defensive line of orange blossom. The more it dries down, the better I can tolerate it. After half an hour with my GWP sample, I feel...clean. But a bit synthetic. And generic. I feel like I've been smelling this on people for years now.
Summary: On paper this smelled great. the jasmine and orange blossom were very smooth and 'peachey' and not too sweet. On skin I expected it o bloom into something richer and warmer - but it was very disappointing. Within ten minutes it was anonymous, drab, wet white flowers - with a undercurrent of dank musk. This is not what I expected! What a wasted opportunity - it could/should have been glamorous and gorgeous like his wonderful gowns, not a cheap knock-off.
