Excerpt: The nose behind this fragrance is Edmond Roundnitska. The fragrance was told to capture a floral scent which paints a picture of a beautiful garden. The top notes are bergamot, lily of the valley and ylang ylang. The middle notes are composed of jasmine, amaryllis and boronia. Then the base notes are sandalwood and civet. The perfume is basically floral. The appearance was dainty leaving you to like it.
Summary: When I first started dating my wife over 50 years ago she always wore Diorissimo, which was a fragrance I enjoyed very much. Recently I wanted to give my wife a special present and the best present I could think of was some Diorissimo perfume. The present made her very happy.
Summary: My wife just returned from a visit with family in Michigan, While there she was introduced to the product by a niece. She expressed her desire for the item and I a was able to get her twice the quantity for a very good price. When this is gone I'll be back for more.
Summary: This fragrance is amazing, a classic.I really enjoy the Lily of the valley in the fragrance , very clean and nice. The Diormissimo was hard to find in most stores, I knew Saks always has the classy things timeless.
Summary: My wife has been using diorissimo eau de toilette for better than 30 years. We heard Christian Dior stopped making it. When I saw it on Amazon I was elated. I bought it for my wife and when she tried it, she was disappointed, she said it was watered down, lot more alcohol in it. It short, if we could give it, we would give it 5 thumbs down.
Summary: Again, I was looking for this fragrance for a long time. I didn't realize that it had been discontinued. To my surprise I found it on Amazon (go figure!!!). This fragrance is made from lillies I believe, but when you first spray it, it almost smells sweet. After a short time it wears down to such an exotic fragrance. I have received several compliments. I loved it years ago and love it now. You can wear it anytime.
Summary: I have used the scent for years. I love the combination of lillie of the valley and ying ying. It is an Los scent for the late 1950's but it is light and airy and reminds me of a garden in early summer.
Summary: "There is no true lily of the valley in this, as LOTV is very poisonous." I realize this thread is very old, but I had to chime in because of the above, it's so ridiculous. There never was natural LOTV used in the original formula of Diorissimo because the scent of LOTV is so light and fleeting that it would take every LOTV in the world and then some to create a bottle.
