Summary: Une Fleur de Chanel is a gentle, sweet bouquet of jasmine, magnolia, and orchid petals floating on clear water. There's a drop of soap here, a hint of spice there, all leading up to an *idea* of what camellia would/should smell if camellias had an actual smell. I'm reminded of Japanese camellia hair oil--soft, delicate. Une Fleur maintains its aquatic notes all throughout its drydown with just a hint of woods. Is it complicated?
Summary: Une Fleur de Chanel has the mild, unobtrusive scent of a liquid soap in a public restroom or the bar soap you find in a hotel. It smells clean and pleasant, but there's nothing obviously perfumey or glamorous about it. And therein lies the problem. Chanel is a house that is known for its iconic perfumes, many of which are full of aldehydes, like No. 5.
Summary: Soft jasmine with green notes. It isn't creamy or overly lush, but neither do I get the dreaded mothball edge so many jasmines and lilies give me. Ultimately, though, it's so light and sheer and linear that I get no complexity, no morphing. It's very basic jasmine with green notes on my skin and to that end, sort of boring. It doesn't smell complex enough or rich enough to be called Chanel.
Summary: While I don't care for the plain bottle, or that like most Chanel fragrances, it doesn't last very long, this scent is AWESOME! The first whiff smells of wild jungle flowers, but the second unlocks a mysterious blend of spice and warmth complementing the wild flower scent...the kind of thing you can imagine Josephine Baker spraying on before a performance, I get compliments every-time I wear it!
Summary: I can hardly believe all the negative comments about this fragrance. I love it so much I am fairly addicted. I have three sample vials so far, but when I run out I will have to repurchase. I recently purchased a Chanel blush in Rose Bronze. When I opened the package, a nice greenish rose scent was apparent and lovely. I had to have it. I asked the SA if Chanel had a fragrance close to that scent and they suggested Une Fleur.
Summary: I don't wear this scent but my mother does and I will say, it smells divine on her. No sharp odd floral here, very very fresh and classy. I understand prior reviewers and their dislike of this scent but I have a theory. I think this is ideal for a much older post menopausal woman. Honestly, I think hormones in young women turn this scent into something ugly. I cannot wear this, I really smell awful and nothing like my mother.
Summary: Can any one help me to buy this lovely fragrance, since I can't buy it here on the site, coz I live outside America, I live in Denmark. I would be over the moon for joy, to get this perfume...so if any will help me...please write!!!
Summary: A fragrance friend of mine offered me her bottle of this because of my love of Chanels. We were sitting together in a Chanel boutique when she pulled it out of her bag and offered it up for a sniff. I am embarrased to say that I actually pulled back and curled my nose. That was probably rude, and I feel bad about it, but I was truly shocked and, quite frankly, repelled by the sharpness of this fragrance.
