Summary: I have great consideration about Jacques Polge, the creator of masterpieces like Chanel Coromandel, Egoiste and Ungaro lll, notwithstanding i can't avoid to tell that this scent, an experimental link of honeysuckle, vanilla, citruses and fruits, is one of the worst around. I smell it as a repulsive, vile stuff and pronouncing these words is not usual to me (i tend to find out a story, a reason, an emotion behind each fragrance even if i don't particularly appreciate the...
Summary: Sorry Chanel. I'm often a fan, but this is just a generic pink pepper fruity floral. From 1996, this may actually be the perfume that started (or at least popularized) the genre, but that's not enough for me to enjoy this. It's got a fairly nice peach skin top, with just a pinch of powder underneath, as well as an unusual chemical buzz that makes the whole thing smell fuzzy and comforting.
Summary: I was given a sample of this when it was first launched, and on the strength of that bought it on my next holiday. It was mainly the warm vanilla notes that appealed to me, but even so, it was a slightly unusual choice for me, as I am not a fan of oriental notes. I loved it for a couple of years, and even got as far as a second bottle, but I now find it quite unpleasant, with a very synthetic tone to it. Maybe I have kept it too long, and it is past its best.
Summary: The opening is harsh, sharp and made me wonder if I was actually testing the right bottle (I had smelled it on a friend and adored it instantly) but given half an hour its the most amazing scent!! I only have a small decant courtesy of the aforementioned friend but I'd love to own a huge bottle of Allure. I'd better start saving! Allure is, IMHO, better than Sensuelle. I like both but Allure is more sophisticated, without the patchouli blast of its sister.
Summary: I find I wear Allure quite well. It doesn't come off as a heavy or cloying just light and easy to wear. It's something I'll just spritz on when I'm in a rush and don't want to think about fragrance. Works well in warm weather on me. It is pretty generic and not up to Chanel's caliber, and I wouldn't purchase it, but I received it as a gift several years ago and the bottle's more than half gone...so that speaks for itself. Like it but don't love it.
Summary: This is actually rather lovely! lt's a subtle, elegant mix of creamy rose, jasmine & vanilla on my skin, & to my relief l didn't get any of the fruity notes. On sniffing my arm my SO declared it to be "gorgeous", an incredible feat as he rarely compliments me on any of my frags! l think l'm going to have to purchase this, or at least get him to give me some for Christmas.
Summary: I adore this! This is a warm and sensual perfume.Clean and fresh in the opening and alluring in base.Long lasting and delicate.Feels sweet and comfortable on skin.Perfect for all day wearing including an evening out with friends . Feminine and modern.
Summary: This is probably my absolute favorite- it is sophisticated and enchanting, and lasts and lasts- (I erred in reviewing it in June under the eau de parfum heading- 'twas only the eau de t I owned-) I can't say enough wonderful things about this fragrance, really- agree that it has a crystalline facet quality, and I would wear it for any reason or season- a true new classic!
