Summary: @Waheed, super glad….. I have a couple bottle of Yves Saint Laurent M7 original vintage version (amber glass on 4 sides) I have bought 6 bottles, after seeking for ages for this gem finally I found them in Langkawi Malaysia By The way, It's really good to meet a fellow fragrantican here! and there's still plenty bottle available if any of you are interested..
Summary: Bought a sample and loved it. I found a full bottle of the vintage on ebay and learned a lesson. I thought that the reformulated version was the oud absolu but it turns out that's not the case. The bottle I got is reformulated vintage m7. You can tell by the ingredients list on the box and by the bottle too. Original version has 4 ingredients listed on the box where the reformulated has quite a few more.
Summary: I am really sad that it's discontinued. The new formulation available in the black squared bottle is good too, but i much prefer the original which has a fruity / yummy note. Beautiful bottle, incredible fragrance that came maybe too early on the market. It has a lot of body, a delightfull smokyness, and so much personality. Still one of my favourite since years.
Summary: I've never smelled M7, and I'd like to know what it smells like, but seemingly there are many more people who dislike this scent than people who love it. It pisses me off that designer houses discontinue their fragrances (Fahrenheit Absolute, for instance, which I was unable to buy in the end!). Besides, if you want to get them, you have to pay ridiculous amounts of money. Sometimes I guess some perfumes get discontinued because they aren't successful in some countries.
Summary: M7 vintage the almighty. like nothing ive smelt before. just pulled the trigger on my first spray of my bottle..1 spray on my wrist just to sample this legend and yes i like, read other reviews for what this smells like as a comparison i'm just here to say if you get the opportunity to try then you must.. after 30 mins on and one spray my g.f walks in the room and says "have you been spraying up a storm?" this juice is a beast! I will savor my limited supply .
Summary: sorry but there,s so much bullshit going here. Everybody,s cryin about the original M7 is gone. I still have it and like it but i also like the new version that is more appealing to the crowds. The original is all about wood. The new version brings a sweat touch to it. AT LEAST be happy in some kind of way that YSL DID bring it back although in a reformulated version. Because not many designers bring something back to life.
Summary: Got to try the vintage one recently. It reminds me of something else, which for all I know could very well be M7 oud absolu but cant remember the last time I smelled that so lets leave that aside. On paper I get much more of the sorta thick cherry cough syrup vibe. On skin its much more toned down, and surprisingly sorta fresh and a bit of a powder smell.
