Summary: It doesn't smell altogether bad to me but I wouldn't want to smell like this in public. The booze makes it smell very dated - like something my father or grandfather would have worn - only except that they never would have worn something that smells sweet at the same time.
Summary: I really do believe that Pure Malt is one of the most interesting, unique, and oddly wearable scents to come out in years. There used to be a microbrewery down the street from my apartment and it smelled like this - sort of like frothy dark beer, but always under heady fumes of the sickly-sweet...
Summary: This is my first try on the Thierry Mugler A*Men Line. I have tried Cologne by Thierry Mugler and I like it. I have never tried any of the A*Men fragrance so I have no idea how this would smell like but I have heard so many rave reviews on it and I got to give this a shot.
Summary: It's better than original i think. I find it to be smoky, sweet, creamy (i get a lot of caramel with cherries and something like whisky smells, maibe it's oak), but not owerpowering like old A*Men, just great. For daytime wearing, more like winter - fall cologne.
Summary: Doesn't matter how you feel about Thierry Mugler's creations, they raise eyebrows. Being bold nowadays is not a virtue for many. That's why most of them suck big time. Not Mugler. I love A*Man, like B*Man and can cope with Ice Man(never had a chance to try Pure Coffee).
Summary: This flanker is for sure more wearable than the original version which i prefer because is bolder, brasher and more complex than this. Basically Pure Malt is a softer version of A*men that almost lacks of the original A*men's metal accord of mint and lavender while features a whisky initial peaty...
Summary: Boy, is this sweet -- equal parts sugary, caramely whiskey and an A*Men base. Though it's different and unique, it's also very polarizing; among the women I know who smell it on me, half love it and half hate it. One plus (or negative, depending on your view): it's a sillage monster.
Summary: Now this is more like it! After my disappointment with Pure Coffee and not being a huge fan of the original A*Men's (preferring B*Men) strong tarry note, I think Mr Mugler has finally found just the right balance.
Summary: After reading many reviews and hearing mixed feelings, although the majority of the feed i heard was that its a classic and great scent. i finally purchased a bottle on ebay..paid a hefty price but it was well worth it.
