Poor quality Terre d' Hermes
Gershon A. Amuta, amazon.com
9 April 2014
Summary: I have used Terre d' Hermes for several years now, mostly the EDT but also the pure perfume. However, this purchase is very low quality. It is watery. There is hardly any perfume in it. You would need a lot on your body to even smell this stock, and it won't last an hour. I would hesitate to buy cologne or perfume by this method. I would now prefer to know what I'm buying and where I can complain and return the item purchased.
Summary: It's better to buy it in fragrance shop where you can test it, I know that it lasts for 5 days, because I tried it in the shop in Ukraine and the price was 100$ for 1.6 ounce, thats why i decided to buy it from Amazon twice cheaper but this lasts only few hours. I dont know why, maybe testers in the shop are more concentrate.
Summary: Same as other reviewers at Amazon, I found my bottle with a "fake" label where the serial number of the product should have been. Just to make sure I actually ordered a smaller bottle from the real manufacturers website (at 3 times the cost). The serial number on the bottle was intact, not replaced with the plastic strip other reviewers are noticing. The original is an amazing product,, I get complimented on it daily.
Summary: The initial blast is promising. Grapefruit and peppey and a healthy dose of orange with hints of cedar. It all goes downhill from there. The grapefruit and pepper fade and a mango'esque note joins the orange and what was a thick rich and deep opening all becomes rather anemic. At this point any semblance of naturalness in the scent has faded and I find myself surrounded by wafts of.. it took me a while to place, but wafts of Dawn dishsoap.
Summary: Very unique and long lasting scent. Unfortunately for me, I don't enjoy it very much. I agree with the cut grass comment. Clearly I'm in the minority regarding this scent, so if you see it around, don't let me discourage you from sampling some...
