Summary: There is a reformulation that happened but it is noticeable only if you know the original one very well. People ussualy assume the worst when they hear about a reformulation, but it is not the case here. The new fragrance (in the new clear bottle) is lighter (and more transparent) in the early stages and has a bit less cocoa in the later stages. But overall it is very close to the original one.
Summary: This is number one in my collection, my signature. I love this perfume and I prefer it over Lidge , I think most versatile and refined. The only problem is that I would like it a little more potent in terms of performance . Longevity in my skin is 7-9 hours , not bad but I would like a little more because I love this juice. The sillage is moderated the first 2 hours , then works near the skin .
Summary: I have two bottles of LIDGE with black frames , one from 2012 and one from 2013. I love LIDGE but I prefer LIDG .. LIDGE in my skin has a lifespan of about 14 hours minimum . As for his projection , I would say that is a little better than average, but not a monster .
Summary: Tried this (yet again) yesterday at the Duty Free Cairo. Honestly, I just don't get what everyone here enthuses about. Kept sniffing it the whole five and a half hours in the air to see if it improved. It didn't. (It never does). Consulted my partner too in case I was overlooking something - and she really didn't rate it either. To me it is completely meh. Each to their own (as ever).
Summary: Warm creamy smoothness I get from the resinous elemi and cacao similar to an amber note. The cacao is not nearly as predominant as the fragrantica voters show, its just the most recognizable note. I feel in the mid to drydown the predominant note is the piney elemi resin. It's yummy. I love the citruses to, reminds me of one of my favorites M7 Fresh. I smell a citrus like mandarin, but not listed, very much like the orange in Hermes D'Orange Verte.
Summary: The High Priest of all fragrances :-) Whatever fragrance I subsequently try, however good it is, returning to this bottle brings a smile to my face. It isn't just a scent, LIDGE is an amazing olfactory experience. That isn't meant to sound pretentious, but for me, it's an accurate description of the way that this magical potion makes me feel. It's a happy, yet sophisticated vibe that transports me to Parisian streets lined with cafés and people socialising.
