Summary: I don't get it... Smells nice, in the way a Pier 1 scented candle does. I get a tame sandalwood and a little florals/fruit to counterbalance. Like I said, not bad, but why is this considered a legend?
Summary: Judging from the large following from this "classic" scent, I've made a purchase through eBay of what is listed as the Vintage Egoiste 50mL brand new bottle without any hesitation. I found the list of notes on this fragrance as quite unique, cinnamon, sandalwood, rose, vanilla, AND TOBACCO? My goodness, I can't wait to get my nose on this epic blind purchase. Updated review soon to come.
Summary: Pure but seductive. A high quality perfume with strong sillage and great longevity. A masculine scent with leather and tobacco. With roses, carnations, cinammon and vanilla. Just love this perfume.
Summary: THIS IS SEDUCTION IN A BOTTLE. The smell is somewhere between opium and obsession, but much finer quality than either. It has this glorious rosé accord which reminds me of cuir de Russie. It is a suave, smooth, sexy unique scent that suits someone who knows how sexy they are. It's a mix of old fashioned and modern (as many have said) an this gives it a magical timeless quality. Silage and longevity are nice too.
Summary: I was fortunate to be brought-up in the care of a privileged family; I was perfumed as far back as I can remember (perfumed children are not a recent phenomenon or a trend, like some would imagine). Finally, came a birthday when I got to ''choose'' and I abandoned the Victorian era-esque soapy fresh lemony scents that until then where selected as the best and the most appropriate for me. This is when my relationship with ÉGOISTE began.
Summary: I don't know how come I haven't reviewed Egoiste yet... This is a classic and I don't mean it by the year it has been created in. Actually it was Chanel's entry to the world of men gourmand fragrances. On my skin Egoiste is full of contrasts. It's soft and spicy, it's sharp and mild (or even cozy), it's masculine but again women can pull it off. I detect mainly rosewood, tobacco, cinnamon, vanilla, rose (this is done really gorgeous here!) and sandalwood.
Summary: A sorcerer potion of sandalwood, bulgarian rose, ambrette seeds, resewood, vanila and coriander is Mr. Jacques Polge proudest work - the most exquisite and original fragrance based on wood essences. Of all known men perfumes is by far the best for cold seasons.
Summary: I used to do a lot of electronics soldering as a kid. This fragrance is, to me, the unmistakable scent of the smoke that you get in your face while soldering. A burning resin and lead smell. So that association immediately ruined this classic for me. Ick. Would not want to smell like that.
Summary: Saya beli 2nd di salah satu member perfume di salah satu forum. Dapet edisi vintage nya kayaknya. Kesan pertama pas spray adalah... Hueeeeekkk !! Mirip minyak urut dan bau ustad2 pas mau sholat !!! Saya kuatir salah beli... pelan tapi pasti, saya semakin suka sama Egoiste. Kalo menurut saya, wangi nya ngangenin, mau dipake terus tapi sayang. Biasanya saya pakai ini kalo mau tidur saja dan di waktu tertentu.
