Summary: You can find this uninspiring "cologne" sitting on a bed-table of every bored, shallow and over-paid manager, modern "business-man" who thinks that either women or gay men like this scent, or a straight "one night stand" hunter who thinks he's wearing something nice to help him get and turn his trick. Synthetic, chemical and metallic concoction of fruits, woods and vanilla.
Summary: A decent scent with feminine qualities that has excellent projection. Be light on the trigger with this one! A nice smell, however it quickly becomes too much, it's not a subtle scent, it screams at you, sometimes a bit too much, not something I want to smell every day Good for outdoors events.
Summary: Have about 20ml of the vintage juice left. Amazing! One of my top 5! Does anyone know if there is a difference between the boxes of the vintage and reformulation version? I desperately want another vintage bottle before they're all gone, can you tell from the boxes or do you have to see the bottle itself?
Summary: I was going to let this guy go because Allure Homme Sport and Eau Extreme were becoming my main players for casual wear and gaining compliments. But then after I stopped comparing the Allure Homme Sport's to this, I remembered what made this scent special. It's classic, it's layered nicely, sophisticated, and was my high school graduation scent (cheesy). I get a sweet citrusy/peach, vanilla, tonka bean scent throughout Allure's life. Not too sweet and not too sour.
Summary: In the past, Allure meant I was in good hands. It was rich, down-to-earth yet sophisticated. A very rare quality that's hard to find today with modern fragrances. I first received this gem as a birthday gift. My relative said "This is what a real man's cologne should be." And she was right. Unfortunately I was a novice to fragrances and I took it for granted. I didn't realize how right she was until a dozen fragrances later.
Summary: thanks guys! turns out I have the older formulation (perks of having a girlfriend that works in a store that sells fragrances!) they must have been selling off stock they had too much of including testers so my girlfriend picked it up for dirt cheap. mine has the "eau de toilette" on the actual bottle. guess I just lucked out as I love this fragrance! thanks once again.
Summary: @Thecameltotem you're right. Old formulation: as you can see above, no silver engraved Chanel logo on the cap. On the bottle you can see: "Allure homme" + "Chanel" + "eau de toilette". New formulation: silver engraved Chanel logo on the cap and on the bottle: only "allure homme" that's it. Nothing more below. p.s. I have both.
Summary: @09scottm From what I can tell all the new bottles don't have the "Chanel Eau de toilette" on the bottom of the front cover. If it just says Allure homme and Chanel under it and nothing else on the front you have the new reformulated version.
