Default why does my laptop beeps???

My Toshiba a200 doesn't boot up windows. It just makes 3 beeping sound and nothing happens. What does that mean? Also the screen is blank and only the LED indicators are blinking.

Those beeps are a code that is telling you that there is a hardware problem with the computer. Because it can not get booted far enough to display an error message on the screen, it "beeps" one out like Morse Code. Go to the toshiba site and search for "POST codes". You should find a chart that list what the different "beeps" mean. Hopefully you will be able to figure out how to fix the laptop once you know what the problem is.

The beeps are called post codes. It tells you something is wrong. They are like morse code. 2 shorts and a long beep etc. Go to the toshiba website put in "Post Code" and see what the 3 beeps mean. That will tell you where to start
