Default Reinstalling problem?

I need your inputs on this. I recently reinstalled windows xp pro into my laptop when my drive (c crashed. The good thing is I have all files from C: stored in an external usb hard drive before I did the reinstalling. When I got my laptop back to work, the scrolling functions seems to be busted. Every time I scroll up, down and sideways, my screen is lagging or slowing especially when I’m surfing the net. What remedies are available for this simple problem?

Why don’t you check your drivers? You can do this by going to “Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management.” Then, click on “Device Manager” on the left pane. When you see anything that has a yellow triangle with a black question mark on it, this means that you have to install your drivers. When you do OS reinstallation, you basically wiped out your entire drives’ apparent files and updates. Also, recheck your external hd. I assumed that when you said that you have transferred all your files from, you may have included also your drivers and installers. Although, you may check your manufacturer’s website to download your drivers and installers. Then, defrag your laptop’s system to make run things smoothly.
