Default laptop shut down during playback

I need advise please! My laptop shuts down during playback (i.e. streaming from web, media player, win dvd, encoding video to other formats, etc). I have an HP Pavilion ZD8000 series notebook with Pentium 4 HT Processor and ATI Graphics card. I am running Windows XP Home Edition with SP2.

I think it’s your laptop overheating. There’s a tendency for laptops not to function properly due to overheated cpu components when the fan system is not working well due to dust. Ergo, there is a building up of heat in your laptops components. Check and clean your heat sink. Overheated parts generally exhibit a shorter maximum life-span and may give sporadic problems resulting in system freezes or crashes. Check this link to give you an idea.
