Default blank screen

Hi there!

Recently, whenever I start up my laptop, the screen has been occasionally been black. Sometimes, I've been able to fix it by adjusting the screen (moving it back / forth) but today, I can't seem to fix it at all. I would contact Dell, but my warranty has expired, and all of their online solutions tell me to go into diagnostics mode.... which requires the screen. My guess is that something inside just got unplugged, as my screen hasn't been darker or anything, it's just occasionally died on me, so I don't think it burnt out.

Simply put, how can I check if my LCD is properly connected inside my Laptop, and if it isn't, how can I fix it? Thanks a lot!

Dell Inspiron B130, by the way..

Pull up dell.com and search for manuals for the model laptop you have. There should be a maintenance manual that shows how to disconnect/connect certain devices. Some manuals will show how to replace an LCD screen in which case, there will be a diagram or instructions on how to connect the LCD monitor... Or at least check to verify it is connected.
