I got an error message when I had my pc restarted. It said something like this, “This problem was caused by an unrecoverable hardware error that caused the operating system to stop functioning.” How can I fix this? What hardware do you think caused this?

To my knowledge, if it happens when you exit a program, it’s your RAM. If it happens when you’re playing games, it’s your video card. Your pc automatically sends you alert/error messages in cases of memory dumping, virus alerts, overheating, exhaustive memory usage, etc. If it happens again, I recommend that you reinstall your OS. Run some protocols like virus scan, cache cleaning, etc.

Jones77, I would suggest that you go to a qualified technician in case you are not too familiar with the technical aspects of fixing that problem. However, you can still do basic procedures as what PamJazz suggested and if the problem persists, that's the time you consult the experts. Hope our advices helped.
