Default Running signals through one cable, possible?

Is there any way where I can adapt from either my charter straight cable in or my on-the-air hd feed into my tv in another input source? I have only one cable/antenna input on my tv set. Are there available accessories for this? Just wondering.

I think what you need is a diplexer. It should work fine. The diplexer can work with on-the-air hd or cable(direct). Although, most cable boxes don’t work with diplexer. It has to have a return in case you order movies/shows (PPV) on demand through your cable box for it to run smoothly. Here’s a diagram that would explain itself.
