In terms of picture quality, Laser TV has an edge against Plasma and LCD's. The technology behind Laser TV and the laser light engine is capable of producing a very bright, colorful and sharp image and that is because of the extremely stable properties of laser light. In cost, Laser TV are expected to priced around $5,000 for initial models. Due to less parts and the growing mass production of laser light engines, Laser TVs may eventually cost significantly less than plasma and LCD models. And in weight, Laser TV are far more lighter than Plasma TV's. A 65" Plasma TV weigh 175lbs while a 65" Laser TV will weigh 85lbs.
I guess consumers will switched to Laser TV since it offers more advantage than other TV's. Lets just see. Laser TV will be available this year accordingly. |

Hello Tamia,
Laser TV will be making its North American debut in the Fall of 2008 under the line of Mitsubishi televisions. Mitsubishi recently unveiled its prototype Laser TV at the 2008 CES and the rumors are it will go on sale in time for Black Friday in November. Mitsubishi’s large screen Laser TV will initially be available only at yet to be announced “high-end” retailers, so probably, you cant see a Laser TV at your local retailer until 2009. Just stay tuned. Last edited by Emilio : 02-12-2008 at 12:13 AM. Reason: gramar |
