Default HD reception with antennae, possible?

Does anybody know how I can setup my lcd tv to get HD reception with an antennae? A cable company offered me to upgrade my services since I only have the regular cable channels. So, I have to spend additional for HD service. But, someone told me that since I already have cable, all I need is an antennae to get HD reception. Can your recommend also what antennae works well. Thanks.

There are free HD receptions that work like free analog tv channels. You can do this by connection your tv’s antennae/ cable jack into your HDTV. Go to your TV’s menu to scan for digital channels. It’s best that you adjust your antennae for the best reception.

The cable company may have additional channels that can't be captured by having an antennae installed. However, I checked TomJ's links and these articles and information are really useful. You should check them out!
